growing pains

Growth is good.

I know this.

I do.

But for today, I am desperately trying to stop time.

To keep things from growing.

To stand still.

Because, tomorrow, this girl

will turn one whole year old...

I will celebrate her growth tomorrow, but today, I just want to hold on.

To be still.
